When did you get banned, Sarkus?
Looks pretty similar to me, and the format hasn't changed:
So it turns out that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office suspended Hammerpoint's application to trademark"The War Z" back in November, citing a previously filed application that is very similar - not the Day Z game, but a film adaptation of the "World War Z" book. Sergey Titov of course denies everything.
Trademark, SJ, not patent...
Like all undead, you can't really kill it. The War Z is back on Steam.
From the Steam news announcement:
The War Z is now available for purchase on Steam. Valve and Hammerpoint Interactive collaborated to address community feedback, update the Steam store page, and make the title available for purchase worldwide. In addition, a patch has been released to update existing customers. As such, the special refund offering extended for The War Z Steam customers who previously purchased the title has concluded.
"The War Z producer says fans would be outraged if they couldn't lose micro-transaction items"
Is this guy fucking insane or what.
I wonder how many of the fans saying they'll quit are actual payers. I envision most of them being hardcore players who don't pay a dime and get all that sweet premium gear from looting the corpses of new players with more money than sense.
