Theres No Such Thing As Too Much Pokemon (Crystal)

Oh man, Pokemon Crystal was one of the first Pokemon game I ever remember playing. The girl player is still one of my favorites. I remember writing stories about her and everything, even about the glitches I constantly got. ~Nostalgia~

No idea for the rival name, but I'll throw in my name for a Pokemon.

Crystal was my first Pokémon game as well! I loved it. Got my Meganium to level 100 and everything. Sadly, battery failure happened :(

Crystal was the first game I got a shiny. ;___; SHINY PIDGEOT I STILL LOVE YOUUUUUUU


And then I idiotically started my game over. :/
Anyway, I'd kill to be a flying type.

I got a shiny Cleffa from that special egg with an increased chance of shiny. Other than that... I found, but unfortunately knocked out, a shiny Tangela in
Leafgreen, and also a shiny Spearow, that I caught. In Pearl I caught a shiny Pineco and - wait for it - a Bidoof. I also got a shiny Sentret in Platinum, and an Audino in Black.

... I've actually encountered quite a lot of shinies.

I met a shiny Yanmar in Crystal. Then I bet the shit out of it and restarted the game because I thought my GBC was bugging out.

The universe then decided I was too damned stupid to ever meet a shiny again.

Yeah, I've caught... um... uhh... I... I've never caught a shiny ; ^;

I've never encountered a shiny pokemon. I didn't even know they were a thing until two years ago. Loofofbread, I think you took my share of shiny encounters.

I can one-up that. Caught a shiny Rattata in SoulSilver. Named it Mrs. Frisby.

I loved even the little details like her cooking if you go at home at night. First time I defeat the E4 it was night so it was really nice. And she bought me pokémon plushes.
Never underestimate a mother who buys you pokémon plushes.

I nearly released my brother shiny Shuppet because all the sprite looked the same. He literally jumped at me screaming "NOOOO!"
I only got the usual Gyarados and I think I saw a shiny Yanma too - someone called me because there were so much Yanma on that route. But I'm bad at this "cath random pokémon" thing, I never caught Raikou or Entei.

Frustrated protagonists are my favorite protagonists. Especially when they think everyone around them has a terminal case of stupid.

Sneasel are indeed in Crystal. They're actually available earlier than they are in Gold/Silver, since they're now in the Ice Path. They're only available at night and are really rare there, though (The lowest floor has the best change of them appearing).
