It's fun to get waves and waves of likes for hours on end from somebody catching up on one of my LPs. :)

It's especially fun doing it while someone is doing the exact same thing to me!

I have never done a LP, but I have commented in some of them and eeeeevery once in a while, I, too, get a random flood of likes as someone new reads one of them. It's silly. <3

I can't believe I woke up to 33 likes from a few pages of snarky comments in that thread.

I once woke up to 45 Likes, all of them from two people, for my Wiz 8 LP.

That made me smile.

And picture, video and, uhm, political cartoon, like-farming likes as well.

I admit, I am a sucker for liking cute pictures of cats but even there I try to restrain myself a little. I'm pretty stingy with likes, generally. Maybe I just don't like much.

Just don't start posting pictures of Nanaimo bars.

And it's less "did" and more "am doing". I just finished my first trip to the Umpani Base Camp and haven't yet gone to Trynton.

Man... reading that really makes me want to play that game yet again. And yet I know I'll never get past a certain point; the scaling enemies piss me off too much. (I've never even come close to finishing that game) But still.... the classes! The combos! Fucking faeries, which I include in my party every time even though they suck!

Also, fuck gadgeteers. They endlessly play around with doodads you find laying around that no one else can use, and for all their fiddling, their damage output consistently seems to be mediocre at best.

Actually, my Gadgeteer is - as I repeatedly point out - my highest consistent damage dealer. :) Lightning Rod is amazing.

He'll fall off soon and the Samurai will start destroying faces.

It may be, but as far as I'm concerned, his weapon is his gun. And that sucks.

I strongly dislike all the random crap he can do, because it's just... random. There's no rhyme or reason to it... no way to plan what kind of stuff he'll be able to do... it's literally what you happen to find. That irks me.

Yeah... me and the gadgeteer class don't get along so well. And that's precisely what's so seductive about that game: you don't want a gadgeteer? NO PROBLEM! We've got 30 other classes to choose from!

I really wish there was a way for GOG (or really, any other distributor) to pick Wiz 8 up (and hell, the rest of the series for that matter)... anyone know the status on who holds the license now that Sir-Tech's down for the count?

I like that the points system encourages drunk posting - went on a spree lats night and it garnered me the much coveted Chasing Angie trophy.

I like that when our moderator trolls the shit out of us he doesn't take our inevitable panic and flailing personally, and then help the situation degenerate even further by exploding into a flurry of confused reactionary posts and mass bans on our members and/or himself.

Seriously, though, many ups to our benevolent fatbird. I'm so glad to have an Internet hangout to troll enjoy after the last one became inhospitable.

On that note, I miss Ebly, and wish he would post more often, as he was an entertaining posterr. Then again, I could say that about a lot of the posters here that aren't around (or, at least posting) anymore ...with the obvious exception of the banned posters, of cours).

I appreciate that a lot! I am still floating about these parts, I just spend more time lurking than anything. I generally only read a few specific topics -- I kind of fell off the posting wagon a bit after I started having classes again, and even though I'm done with them for at least another few months I have yet to regain the energy to get back on it. Sorry!

In the meantime, have a spider on me.
