Things That You Like About Being Broken

You know what's awesome? Derailed threads getting rerailed. That's always a beautiful moment. Shame it wasn't someone with more skill doing this instead of me.

What else do I like about this forum? Everyone's perfect comedic timing. I can't read a thread on here and not end up laughing to tears unless the subject's a serious one. (In which case I'm not laughing at all, nevermind to tears.)

I know I'm the kind of person who generally laughs easily, but this forum has reached new records even for me.

And the gifs. Man, I love the new gif collection you guys have provided me.

I don't know the numbers on this, and I'm sure as hell not going to take the time to do it, but yeah. It's sort of like summoning Derek Smart, and when he shows up and shitposts all over the thread, the person should not be surprised because that's what he fucking does.

I like LOVE that there are so many feminists on BF.

It certainly helps me figure out what games I shouldn't play.

Being able to talk about pigeons, feels, VN, shipping inanimate objects together, RP, and still being seen as "normal".

Also, the amount of feminism and general respect I've met here is considerable compared to the rest of the internet.

It's pretty rad, and something that still surprises me once in a while. I'm used to writing a crabby feminist post and getting a bunch of NUH UH back, not a bunch of likes!

For the first time in a long while, I actually like talking to people on the internet.

It really is a fucking awesome feeling. Not to mention, I get to say it's fucking awesome without fear of banning. Because that's fucking awesome.

Speaking of banning, I really do enjoy that the odd thread derail isn't grounds for account shutdown. Not to say I was horribly horrible at keeping on target for indeed, what some would consider massive reroutings on BF far eclipsed the tiny bit I did participate in. But it's nice that everyone agrees that talking about X and then being tangentially led through a wandering path touching on Y and Z, F, G but eventually returning to X is how discourse follows.

Agreed. It is a very welcome departure from previously-unnamed forums, where the moderation doesn't actually have to get involved for things to return to the original topic (mostly.. mostly). I am happily Broken.
