Rather than clutter up every other thread, let's consolidate some of our favorite holiday tunes here! I'll go first: RIP, Ronnie.

Obligatory: And I'm a sucker for Christmas music... I'll even listen to the cheesy stuff most people hate. I usually do a yearly christmas song calendar thing on my Facebook. Not as obscure as Triggercuts excellent Christmas-mixes, but I do believe there one or two gems in the mix. And everytime we have one of these threads, I recommend the fantastic Santastic mash-ups. So consider it done - I wonder if they do one this year too. Yes, yes they did: http://www.djbc.net/santastic7/ Downloading, so I don't know yet, how good it is, but the others have had some fantastic tracks. Here's a favourite: http://vjbrewski.com/menorah/02 - DJ Flack - O Chanukah Dubstep Bassline Remix.mp3
Best video I could find that wasn't someones Christmas lights causing me to have a seizure.... I guess they never made an official one. Special thanks to M00fin of the Eskimo Clan and White Tiger!
This is a CD I put together several years ago and it's become my default background X-mas music playlist because I'm too lazy to update it. 01 - God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Barenaked Ladies with Sarah Maclachlan 02 - Christmas Eve Sarajevo - Trans-Siberian Orchestra 03 - Greensleeves - Vanessa Carlton 04 - White Christmas - Zakk Wylde 05 - Silver Bells - Gary Hoey 06 - Blue Christmas - Collective Soul 07 - Little Drummer Boy - Alex Lifeson 08 - Silent Night - Jewel 09 - Boughs of Holly - Trans-Siberian Orchestra 10 - Winter Wonderland - Gary Hoey 11 - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer - Jack Johnson 12 - Carol of the Bells - Al Dimeola 13 - Sleigh Ride - Stuart Hamm 14 - Oh Come All Ye Faithful - Trevor Rabin 15 - Let It Snow! - Harry Connick, Jr. 16 - Joy to the World - Steve Morse 17 - Jingle Bells - Brian Setzer Orchestra 18 - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christma - Coldplay 19 - Run Run Rudolph - Lynyrd Skynyrd 20 - Do You Hear What I Hear - Steve Stevens My favorites of the bunch were ones that came from the Merry Axemas series of CDs. They're nice twists on the classics that are typically lyricless, so they make nice ambient music.
It's Christmas with the snow, with the snow, with the snow snow, Christmas with the snow, with the snow.
I originally posted this is in serious Christmas music thread. Now I'm posting it here instead: I guess I'll post the obvious "edgy" mainstream choice. Lee Ving, ladies and gentlemen.
