Hydrogen bonds are intermolecular forces, not intramolecular bonds. Specifically, they are a special case of dipole forces that is very strong due to the fact that there in no lower shell of electrons below the valence shell.
Well, the "intermolecular" vs. "intramolecular" distinction is somewhat arbitrary. An ionic bond could be said to be a very strong intermolecular force; it's only because we have declared an ionic bond to form a "molecule" that it becomes, by definition, an intramolecular force. But yeah... you obviously know what you're talking about, so I won't belabor the point.
Yes. It also means that a folded protein is multiple molecules that magically becomes one when denatured.
Stone me. I recommend watching until at least 1:30. If you want to know what true contentment looks like.
WE WILL NOT NEGOTIATE WITH THAT 2:30 FEELING! http://www.theonion.com/video/5hour-energy-ceo-deaths-just-collateral-damage-in,30457
Dumb ways to die: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2012/11/21/dumb-ways-to-die/ From Ezra Klein's blog.
It's a brilliant little song and video (I've been watching it with my kids for days now), which is why I took the three extra steps mr. Sharpe there was too lazy to do and embedded it for your pleasure: They even set up a Tumblr with all the deaths:
I plead technical incompetence as opposed to laziness. Plus I had no time to mess with videos due to Planetside 2.
As someone who lives in an area that just got hit by SNOW last night, ALL the likes for this. "People don't ignore starving people, so why should we ignore cold people?"
I am not entirely sure so I'll spoiler this, just in case. Please do not open if underwater snake robots sounds threatening to you.
