Yes. Yes, that's me. I have 250something followers and FYTMGS isn't even a year old. I don't know how that happened.
  4. DreadCop Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Yeah, TMGS has a very good following on Tumblr. I have 343 followers right now and mostly post Tokimeki stuff (though I also put up some Little Busters, Dangans, Type-Moon, Umineko and Hatoful).

*Stalks & foams at the mouth* Must have 3rd game patch...

As for my favorite game, probably number 1 just because HIMUROICHIIIIII! *melts*
  7. Jackrabbit Magister Mundi Elyscape

I like the clothing system in TMGS. All otome games should have a clothing system. BUT IT NEEDS MORE SHOES. I love shoes, any game that would let me change the heroine shoes would have gotten ALL OF MY MONEY.

The third game has this uber complicated choco mini game. It's scary, you need mathematical equations to figure out how to make the right chocolate. What does this game think it is, Pokemon?

    Also, it's r-r-rant time!
    1) Kohei characters:
I don't mind their personality so much (teenagers are messed up, I can deal) but their damn design. That fucking Gravitation hair and the ever popular giant hairbrush hairstyles are not attractive, Konami. I'm used to the wacky clothing, but just because those boys are one year (one year, not ten) younger then the protagonist does not mean they need to look like they waltzed in from a 90's anime. And their route is basically "pat their ego till they get some confidence" which isn't really the stuff grand romance story are made of. The third game is getting there, but it's still not quite right. So frustrating.
    2) Three years:
How. How is that possible. How can you have flirty dates with someone for three years without it getting ANYWHERE?! I get it, confessing is hard (to be honest, I dunno why you can't just ask someone to be your boy/girlfriend, without the grand love confession first, but okay). But seriously? After three years of dates, and flirting and hand holding and talking about stuff like "what type of person do you like", you never figured out maybe the other person is kinda into you and you have a chance with them? It's just. I have to roll my eyes sometime.
Beside, usually by the third year you've got the right stats and relationship values, so there's nothing to do. I dunno why there can't be a relationship upgrade on the second year, and then, I dunno, some fluff you usually see but without the awkwardness of not-exactly-going-out. sigh.

So is this just a flaw in the Wikipedia article, and there are actually 7 games in the main series (TokiMemo 1-4 + TMGS 1-3?) ... or is one of those not counted as canon?

Plus: Shoot me, so many spin-offs and ports with bonus features...
  9. DreadCop Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Whoa, small world indeed! I guess at this point this forum's like a bit of a hub of the otoge scene.

Also, let's not forget Mitsumete Knight, which has an LP ongoing here and happens to be pretty much "Tokimeki But Medieval." It looks like a lot of fun and I wish someone would translate it properly.
  10. maniskumquat Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Haha, I didn't realize that. TokiMemo started off as being chasing girls, and then made the chasing boys line. It might have started as a spin off, but I think they could be considered their own line of games now.
So yes, 4 TM games and 3 TMGS games.

No idea about the spin offs.

OMG I'm playing TMGS2, can I say that Shiba and Masaki are the best guys in the world? They are both my ideal type of guy, tall, big, handsome, and with nice clothes... plus masaki likes scary movies *__* I won't be able to play any other route after this love-triangle one (with Shiba and Masaki constantly asking me out every other sunday)... the others just can't compete.
  12. DreadCop Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Yeah, there's no one who can really compete with those two in the tall-and-handsome department in that game, barring Wakaouji I guess (who's a little more effete than the other two and not my favorite). I'd suggest jumping to TMGS3 and wooing Kou or Arashi.
  13. Jackrabbit Magister Mundi Elyscape

    KYAAAAA KOUICHIIIII /hyperventilates
I love him so much, he's such a teddy bear, and the way he pretends to be grouchy when he's secretly pleased, and that awesome hair~~~ I just wanna snuggle him all day~
I love Arashi too, especially in his Judo jammies, but since he seems to forget sometime the protagonist is a girl, he's definitely in second place. Plus I prefer the 'vivid' style to 'sporty', because sporty clothes do not mix well with boots, and I love boots. I love boots so much, I just bough another pair for 210$, because they were teasing me. "Buy us, buy us, we have cool straps and and jingly bits and low heels so we won't molest your toes!" and I have no arguent against boots that jingle when you walk, I really don't. Don't you just love that old, soft leather look? Much cooler then the shiny leather most boots are made of. Shiny leather always looked a bit cheap to my taste.
    What was I talking about?
  14. Randissimo Hatoful Pigeon

I have always hated shopping and I generally only wear sneakers and I've never been big on clothes or fashion or anything but you are really selling those boots to me. Damn, I want a pair now. They'll look ridiculous on me.

Oh that reminds me, how do you meet Arashi? I haven't been really focusing on Fitness but I'm pretty sure it was reasonably high by the 2nd year rolled around, definitely above 50. I met Niina a few times and met him immediately when the second term started. Does Arashi have similar meetings?
  18. Randissimo Hatoful Pigeon

I think what really sold Junpei to me was the blushing and how bashful he acts when things get a bit more intimate. He acts all confident and, I mean, he nanpa'd Protag-chan, but in the end, he's actually just a shy guy. Sort of. In a roundabout way. I swear I'm making sense.
  19. Jackrabbit Magister Mundi Elyscape

AHAHAHA 50 FITNESS! Honey, you severely underestimated Arashi. You need like 60 fitnees on your first year and like 80 on the second year. The guyis seriously into sports. Unlike Niina, who I always falls into my lap (it's my fault really, I can't resist shopping with Karen, so my style is always needlessly high), Arashi is a bit more elusive. And also almost as oblivious as P-chan.
This lovely walkthrough informed me you can also meet him by working at the pool, which I never did because so many clubs raise fitness anyways, and it sounds like a lame ass job.

I see your point. His confidence is attractive (seriously, hitting on total strangers take guts), but his (certain brand of) innocence is charming, as well as a staple of the kohei character. He's very likable, definitely a younger-character-archetype done right, but his voice isn't really working for me. Also I am slightly intimated by fashionable guys, hehe.
  20. maniskumquat Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Bambi aint got time for fit in her ~*fabulous lifestyle*~

Haha, thanks for the info. I'm preeetty sure this run will end up foreveralone anyway, because I cannot into approach mode, Junpei never asks Bambi to go home together after school so I haven't gotten through the intimate conversations, and I've been messing up everyone's presents because i'm too lazy to save scum (except for Miyo and Karen. I can always get their best presents... >:3)

I've liked everyone's voice so far :3 But yea, Junpei's voice had to grow on me (though, it didn't take long XD). For Junpei, I think I was completely sold when

I've barely played the second game because the slightly different graphics freaked me out at first. And because I went for Saeteru first since he's the main guy. If you made him less choppy, I can tell he could be a very appealing character but not to my tastes. It was just...boring dating him. Judgement on Hikaru is being held for now since I lost all my otome downloads when my other computer died. Shiba is great~

I like the first game of the GS series the most atm. The second one is the most popular thus far though. (looking at tumblr and search results of 'tokimemo gs')

  26. Randissimo Hatoful Pigeon

I want to show that to my brother except he wouldn't find it funny, he'd roll his eyes. He always facepalms when I tell him about my dating sims.

Edit: WHY CAN I ONLY LIKE ONCE?
  27. MeganeOverlord Hard Cider Gal

I actually started playing the 2nd one first but switched over to the first one before I got a single ending (Honestly the only character that interested me was Hikami, but the rival for him was so cute that I couldn't bear to take him away from her and decided to go for her ending instead). I actually like the first one a lot more, as I actually really like all of the characters and they are all adorable in their own way. Morimura though I have to say is the most adorable and precious character I've encountered in any type of game.

Perhaps if I went back to the 2nd game the other characters would grow on me as they did in the first one? I've also heard that there are even more endings in it. But I already had enough difficulty attempting and failing to get the best friend endings. I think I managed to get Morimura's best friend love ending, but couldn't get the regular one even though I tried like 4 times.
  28. DreadCop Already Beat BF's New Expansion

Huh, that's like the polar opposite of me. I was barely attached to anyone in TMGS1, liked half the cast in TMGS2, and currently love everyone in TMGS3. There are definitely more paths and more endings in TMGS2 than 1.

    YES.
  30. Antiqua Magister Mundi Elyscape

I'd really like to play the Tokimemo games for dudes, but without a patch it's nearly impossible at the moment.
I like TMGS2 more than TMGS1 because it's really an improvement in many areas, but I also like how "weird" the options are in TMGS1 and how their routes are. I didn't like TMGS3 guys at the beginning because they seemed just bishounen, but thanks to the LP I'm appreciating them and they seem interesting.
    And Karen.
However TMGS3 doesn't have that horrible chocolate minigame, and that's a good thing. I fail so much at that game.

I also really like the clothing system, I'm happy they improved it in TMGS3! Now all I need is the option to customize the heroine appearance, I'd really like that.

Favourite guys... Mihara, Suzuka, Jin and Himuro in TMGS1, Hikami, Shiba, Masaki e Wakaouji in TMGS2. I also really like Chris, but not as a romance option.
In TMGS3 I'm probably going for Koichi, Junpei and the judoka. But Karen first.

Nonsense, it's your duty to annoy your brothers and sisters! Says the one whose brother once nearly bought her a yaoi doujinshi.

Only tangentially relevant, but seeing all the TokiMemo LPs reminded me of when I was playing the game myself.

Initially, my rather sad computer couldn't handle emulating the game, and the voice acting was nightmarish and laggy and pretty much unbearable.
So, I got a flash cart (yes, just for this game, don't underestimate my devotion to pixelated BEAUTIFUL MEN) so that I could play it on my actual DS.
However, I happened to get my DS back when I was young and obsessed with kawaiisa, and, well...

Strangely, I have the same unicorn sticker...somewhere in my sticker album... xD (yeah it was a hobby back then...)

As for TMGS, I honestly like TMGS2 better than TMGS1. Here are some of the stuff that I like from it:

    The Characters
As much as I love Himuro-sensei, I have to say the characters in TMGS2 are more interesting. Each one of them has an unique personality and character, even the additional guys (Akagi, Komori, and Majime). This is something that I can't really find in the first one. Not to mention, some characters in TMGS1 are just...well...totally not my cup-o-joe, such as Morimura and Mihara (I just can't play their plots...not when they're being like that... please Morimura fans and Mihara fans, don't kill me~). Though being said that, I much prefer TMGS1 main guy rather than TMGS2's. Despite Hazuki being emotionless guy, at least he's not like Saeki "The Chopper". Until now I found Saeki is just unattractive, due to his personality and characteristic. On the other hand, Hazuki seems to give some interesting reactions...especially when he's supposed to be emotionless.

    The Plots
What I mean here is, the plots from each guys. Each plots has an interesting, kinda shoujo manga-ish slice-of-life plots attached to them. With TMGS1, the plots seems cliche in some ways, but in the second season...it feels more closer to RL (or maybe it's just me...xD).

Tho being said that, some parts of TMGS2 look like a rip-off from TMGS1. Also, my gawd, the chocolate game! I despise it with all my heart! Honestly, I usually just skip that...or I asked my bro to play that part for me. It's always nice to have a cooperative brother...

And since I haven't played TMGS3 yet, I can't say anything about it. But I'm curious to try xD

    Favourite guys...hmm...let's see...
TMGS1 : Himuro, Kazuma, Hazuki, and Jin
TMGS2 : Shiba, Hikami, Wakaouji and Komori (this might change, due to I'm replaying all the guys)
  36. MeganeOverlord Hard Cider Gal

Ah it's sad that Morimura is so hated ><

To this day I still can't figure out how to get the 3rd ending. So far I have gotten the normal ending, and the one that comes after that, and I'm not sure if it's the best friends ending or the best friends love ending. I know I've had a really hard time with that which is probably why I stopped playing since I really wanted all of Morimura's endings. I have all the CGs, just not that last ending. I've done both going straight to the beach and rejecting another guy at the chapel, and they both end the exact same way...I have no idea what I keep doing wrong.

I think people don't like Morimura because he bombs very easily. He's adorable, but having to defuse bombs every two months is just annoying. I'm so glad they got rid of that system in TMGS3. As long as you don't actively date a guy, he won't bomb you.
  38. MeganeOverlord Hard Cider Gal

Really? I never had much of a problem with him even when going after other guys. The guy who kept trying to bomb me was Hibiya.
  39. Anxifera Beardy Magnificence

    Location:
    Yurop
Hibiya is notorious for it, too. Whenever I see people complain about bombs, it's either because of Morimura or Hibiya. Third place is probably Hazuki. I never had any problems with the other three guys.
  40. clioxclio Fresh Meat

    Location:
    the wandering hut

    I haven't got any of the characters' third endings either. It seems kinda hard... ^^;
But I did find a walkthrough about it...

Hibiya and Morimura, in my case, are notorious for bombing indeed. At least with Hibiya I can get away with it, because I can just ask him to go on a date every baseball practices.

As for Hazuki, I think you will get an intense one if you did spend some time with him, more than you have to (like going home with after school, have a date with him sometimes, or give him a birthday present), also if your charm rate is really high. And this might lead Madoka to more likely bombing you as well. I guess it's hard being a pretty girl afterall... XD

But I think Hazuki is less annoying than Saeki, when it comes to bombing. I always got an intense one from him, in every guys' scenario that I played. -_-
