What the hell IS that anyway?
....on second thoughts we're probably better off not knowing.
-glances at title- Aya isn't japanese, Faust, she's German.
Yeah, because Aya is such a typical german name XD
Aya is apparently hebrew! So it fits a german kid just as well as a japanese one.
At least it's not blatantly japanese, eh? I think Aya's a really pretty name~
On another note, do you think we'll find out what our dad HAS been doing? Or trying to achieve, that is. Was the giant mess of people melted together his handiwork or another part of the curse? Did he create these zombies or are they a consequence he never wanted?
... is he trying to find Aya, or too busy staying alive?
I do hope they address those things~
I surely hope so! As I already stated, I'm playing it blindly together with you guys so it's a surprise for me too, I'm very curious to understand more. The giant mass of zombie I think is blocking the path to were the laboratory is, so probably it would be the last obastacle to be removed... and maybe it's a part of the curse?
You do find out. Just saying. Have fun playing, I know I did~ :D
So, if you remember we were in the Cafeteria and there was a munching sound coming from somewhere.
.. Is that... a dog? I have a bad feeling about this ç_ç
I try to stay from him and explore, and found some oil! In the cabinet under the sink was a gem too.
I'll push my luck now and try to get near the dog...
Y-Yeah, I agree °___° And FUCK, WHEN I WAS GOING OUT THE DOG JUMPED NEXT TO ME. But I was able to get out anyway.
So, remember that we had a safe and a memo with a riddle to get the combination? 7 barrels, 4 chandelier, 6 red dolls, and 2 paintings... but it wasn't right. I went back to the locations and...
Fuck you game.
OH GOD I CAN ALSO HEAR WIShPERS, LET'S GET OUT OF HERE (I'm not just exaggeratin, I actually find dolls in general to be creepy, especially the porcelain ones)
So now I got the right numer for the safe, let's open it.
... why would you keep a lamp inside a safe? Oh well, let's take it anyway. Then somethings falls out on the floor:
Of course this lead to another flashback.
Oh, don't misunderstand, I bet he's saying "Shave you, Maria"
This is going to lead to a child trauma...
So that's when she discovered it too.
You know, I actually agree, you seems much better than that shallow girl, Maria.
She then goeas away saying she won't forgive him.
She throws away the bottle of perfume out in the corridor, where Aya pick it up.
This perfume... I put it back on her dresser after that, but she took care of it... that's good. After all, mom got this from father on their anniversary...
And so she decides to take it.
I keep reading "Fat...her" as two words which completely ruins the mood in the best possible way.
What is it with zombie dogs and being utterly adorable in these games?
I mean just look at that.
If you want people to be scared or creeped out by your zombie dogs, don't make them an adorable fluffy breed! I just want to cuddle it, giant flesh wound and rabid behaviour be damned!
So, I didn't know where to go or what to do so I explored again the location... back to the archive something changed, there was a shiny thing on the floor where the girl appeared.
Ok, I think I know what I must do, let's go back to where I "met" the mother and let's try to use the pendant...
Y-Yes it is, now don't murder me ok? ç____ç
This is bit funny for me, collina is the italian word for "little hill" :°
Awww, this was an heartbreaking reunion ç____ç
And this is what they left when the two disappeared. So it was an optional thing I guess, but I'm glad I did it :°
Still wondering where to go now, though..
Aww, she acually said "Yada!" the japanese for "No way!"
Luckyly she's smart enough to remember we have a lamp now.
Yeah, I'm sure there won't be cat scares in this place.
The door is locked, but there's a small hole there... Aya said she wouldn't fit in there.
Oh no no... would you really put in danger that cute bunny? But I guess we don't have a choice.
And so Snowball ran into its end.
You know what, I thought the exact same thing but I didn't make the joke because I already shamed myself with the "shave you" lame pun XD
Oh, we actually move Snowball, that's cute! But I guess he doesn't have to opposable thumb to open the door from the inside, so let's explore...
At first I thought "So it's a very light oil?" then I got it, but I don't have a lighter yet XD
And HOLY SHIT, I start to hear the sound of the dog getting near... RUN SNOWBALL, RUN!
When snowball gets to aya, he then run somewhere, and suddenly we find ourselves in the darkness. She tries to light the lamp again but...
I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN, but still jumped from the chair ç______ç
Also this is when I discovered that this game has a very useful screenshot function. If you press "stamp" on the keyboard, the game automatically makes a screen of the game without the borders and puts it in the game folder with the date and time. That's fucking useful, I was using Snipping Tools until now but this is perfect, I can easily screen all the cat-scares that appear for few seconds now.
.. just don't think about it Aya. Let's head back and find this damn lighter.
Uh-oh, we have new guests in the cafeteria...
What happened here????? ç_____ç What's written on the floor?
Dein Vale Mörder .... google translate it from german in "Your Vale murderer", maybe it's not vale? Any german in the audience care to explain? XD
Anyway, I was stuck so I had to peek at the hint on the game site, and found out this...
Apparently here I could move the stool to reach an higher drawer, where I found a cutting knife. And I remember something I could cut... there was a taped box in the next room...
Now I should be able to get into the basement, according to the hint...
I put together the lighter and the oil to have a working lighter, but still I can't get past this abomination!
Let's search the other rooms again, for example the dark room where I used snowball... I examined the hole again and...
Well, n-nevermind I'll search some other place °____°
The thing is that the hint section on the site says only that I need a lighter to reach the basement, but how am I supposed to use it? There's nothing I can light on...
If you want help.
And she goes on a journey to find the family she's been separated from. Proclaiming "Burn all those in m way!", she did exactly that to all her foes. But I think in the end, her power got out of control and destroyed the world.. so she never met her family in the end, she was all alone. A poor girl all alone...
Aya realize she's exactly like that and she misses her family...
So, back to the abomination!
Oh my... the thing speaks ç____ç
Aya runs back scared, and I have to go back into this corridor.
Ok, the way is free now.
I realized only now that the screenshot made by the game are png, that are kind of heavy... the next screenshot will be converted in jpgs to keep the page loading light.
Se we reach the same corridor we already seen at the beginning of the game and enter the door to the laboratory.
Don't tell me she's dead too
Oh no, she's alive. Aya notice she's hurt but maria says she's fine.
She tries to get up but she can't, because of the wound.
Maria says he's further in.
Uh-oh, she's here too?
Who's that now?
You really are very deep, to be only a salesman...
Yeah, I wonder what's his role in all this.
Ok, I'm not so sure I want to keep explore this room. There was actually a door in the corridor we were a minute ago, right in front of the door to this laboratory, but I'm more curious about the door in this room, so let's see.
I'm not German, but I think it looks like it could be dein Vater - Mörder. Which would translate to your father is a murderer, I suppose.
I wish I could play this on my mac ;_;
Well that make sense, thank you!
I have to say Aya is keeping up pretty well despite being a ten year old surrrounded by zombies, strange dogs and other things. Though this might just say something about her upbringing.
In other news WHY CAN'T I STOP READING AHHHH, I'm getting all anxious just reading this. What is going to happen to adorable Aya D:
We never did find out what that was but thefactitscreamedandcouldfeelpainohgod that's horrifying. A fate worse than death.
I'm not entirely sure Ogre isn't planning something awful for us if we don't give up on our father.
I agree you know? I think that lately the Aya's shocked face is appearing a lot, so I'm waiting for the moment she goes completely insane XD
So, let's see what's over the door on the up left of the laboratory.
Another disturbing corridor it seems.
Bloody boob! It's Mother!
She rans away dragging Father with her.
Aww, that face is so cute ç___ç
It looked like her at least.
WELL, I WONDER WHO IT IS
Are you stalking this 11 years old girl? I'm going to call the police!
Ogre: The malice for you father... that malice turned to a curse, seeking out your father's death.
Aya: Could that woman be...
Ogre: So do you realize. Yes, you mother
Aya: That can't be!
Ogre: Why do you think that?
Aya: Because mom loved father!
Aya: And father loved mom in return- Wasn't mom happy? I couldn't believe she has a grudge against father...
Aya: I don't want it to be true... but...
Aya doesn't answer and goes straight to the door
WHY, every room I enter here is getting worse ç_________ç
I go back to the corridor to pick the shiny thing, a gem, and examine the surroundings.
If she think this is beautiful, I'm starting to question Aya's sanity.
Since the corpse room scares me, I go all the wat back to the room on the other side of the corridor from the laboratory...
Sigh, another dark room...
ARGH, SOMETHING LAUGHED WHEN I CHECKED THIS SHELF ç_______ç
And the next shelf has something disturbing in it... I'm worried for this forum's policy so I'll put it under spoiler just to be safe. If you don't like disturbing images about fetuses and human organs, then don't look.
While I was leaving the shelf, something fell from it.
Am I going around with a bottle of eyeballs? Hell yeah I am!
Well, I'm looking forward to use them!! Ah ah did you get it?
Ok, time to fight the scare and go back to the corpse room.
Well, I thought it would be worse.
I don't know ç___ç But there are tons of the here, just pick one ç____ç
Well actually I think Aya has seen so many horrible things by now, it can't be worse.
But ok, let's move on.
S-Scary, there's a couple of bodies there ç___ç I came from the lower left room, so I go for the room right below me.
OMG is that the girl that scared me once already? But she's there just a second, she disappear almost immediately leaving nothing behind...
Oh, the attic was missing a ladder section, so we need to go back there. But in the previous room, where the corridor on the left is going to lead me?
Oh it's a shortcut to get back here, that's useful.
I can push the vase, so I guess that if I can bring it to the edge then...
Yay, I was right!
WHAT WHAT WHAT?????
Why a mini version a chainsaw even exist??? To let the children play "the little maniac"???
I... DON'T EVEN... Is this game becoming like Resident Evil now?
... Knowing you father, it was a birthday present? I'm not surprised anymore...
Yeah, afterall which kid doesn't love to play with a chainsaw?
I told you to use it to experiment on your little friends when they come over here to play!
Yeah good job with that, I could also see you having sex with your assistant, you know.
Aya just keeps saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" And the flashback ends.
Exactly like the image of a cute girl I thought about Aya.
I laughed and then I felt terrible.
I bet Aya's father was really proud when she got excited about a mini-chainsaw, even if he did tell her off. They grow up so fast! Soon she'll be wanting to do horrific experiments too!
I'm trying to watch Cry's LP and read this one side by side. I watched the part with the dog in Cry's LP first and it made me jump. XD
So no one else ever messed around with dangerous objects as a kid? Granted, mine tended to be more fire-based but then again my parents kept things similar to chainsaws well out of reach.
Uhm, I think that the most dangerous object I took when I was a kid was a kind of "paste" used to make old shoes look shiny (I don't now ho to call it in english) and I don't know why but I ate some of the paste XD My mom wanted to take me to the hospital for that, but luckyly it wasn't toxic. On the other hand I fell a lot and bumped my head and my knees a lot when I was a kind and I still have the scars of them :P
Anyway, while I was falling asleep tonight I had the best of the ideas, I started to think about a fanfic-crossover featuring the girls of this scary indie games, so there would be Ib from Ib, Viola from Witch's House, Madotsuki from Yume Nikki and Aya from this game! Do you know any other similar game with little girl? I even have a few ideas about the story, when I got time I must definitely write it XD Anybody would be interested in reading it anyway?
My mom's always been really worried about us getting hurt, so she made sure we couldn't play with dangerous things. Probably a good thing, even if it made me kinda terrified of using a large knife for the longest time.
Managed to break the ceiling lamp in my room while we were playing catch with a plushie, though. It nudged it and the whole thing just... shattered.
When I finally got old enough to be allowed to use matches, my mom showed me how to use them properly. Then I went out and bought a box of matches all my own, sat down on a sidewalk, and lit them all in sequence. It was glorious!
...which is to say, yeah, I didn't really play with any dangerous stuff as a kid. I had some not very sharp camp knives to slash through the tall grass with, but knew better than to touch my parents' machete, and that's about the most dangerous thing I can think of that was in the area. (The jug of kerosene for lighting fires aside.) Generally there were enough dangerous things in the tall grass or down by the river to worry about without feeling any need to add more risk to my life with household objects.
Now you made me curious about the place you come from if it's so dangerous, is that Australia? XD
Nah, Ecuador. Missionary parents. That wasn't the jungle proper, though, just the edge of the plateau right before the real jungle started, over in the Pastaza region. So there were some issues with venomous snakes getting into the house, and flash floods in the little rivers, and general dangerous stuff like that, but it wasn't like anyone was getting mauled by jaguars in the back yard.
Wow, that must have been kind of fascinating, growing up so near the jungle. My whole childhood seems dull in comparison.
So I read the instruction of the mini-chainsaw again, and apparently I can't use it against zombie (which doesn't make sense, btw), so this game is not becoming like resident evil. But still, I can only use the chainsaw when I'm the basement, and there is no in-game explanation for that, so one less point for this game... I want a motivation for this not like "You can't use the chainsaw in the rest of the house because... REASONS!"
Anyway, let's continue with the game. We leave the attic to go back into the basement, but...
Some invisible force moved her.
Where have I already seen a scene like this? Oh right:
(Sorry if it ruins the mood, but I won't ever find a better situation to link this hilarious gif XDDD)
I smash the Z button and escape from the clutch of this invisible force, running away.
Oh right, I found a bucket in the basement and forgot to screenshot it, but since there was water here I thought I could use it here... and Aya doesn't put the bucket back in the inventory, meaning that I must use it somewhere near...
I have a bad feeling about this, but ok.
Yeah I'm waiting for the jumpscare...
...but I only found this. None of my items work for this hole, but I'll remember this place.
Awww, why can't I slash Maria to pieces? :(
This body wasn't here before, and he's following me! So if I guide him to the head, maybe...
Y-You're welcome °______° Just remember to never get angry and to keep you head together, ok?
He disappear leaving me another gem.
The chainsaw is useful at something, finally: I smash some barrels and find another door.
Weren't supposed to be to corpses lying on the ground here? Where did they go? ç_ç
Old men, always complaining even when they're undead.
she? Maybe he's talking about Mother? Or Maria? Or any other woman in this goddamn place?
Well I care so thanks for the "informations", time to go now!
Maybe reading this at 3 in the morning wasn't a good idea
What is it about little girls and horror games? Are there any with little boys? Do people just like the cuteness of the little girl character and feel a greater sense of horror when these things happen around the little girl?
If we're thinking about the same stuff, a black and almost tar looking substance, then that paste is called "shoe polish". I, along with my brothers, liked to go into the yard with a magnifying glass and start fires. If we had enough burnable material we would keep a steady fire and roast marshmallows.
That sounds like fun! (Would that be Viola before the start of the game or after the end of the game...if you know what I mean?) Hmm, I can't think of any other little indie horror girls but I'll comment if I do!
I occasionally tried to cut stuff up with my pocket knife but it wasn't very sharp. (And now that I think about it, it was probably very dangerous for me to walk around cutting at sticks with a dull blade. As they say, a sharp knife is a safe knife.) I did use my parents' machete once as a kid but they were watching me. I got bored with the dull pocketknife (thank goodness) and went to perfect my fire making technique (...thank goodness?).
Missionary parents? Sounds like you had an interesting upbringing!
Of course it would be the -viola of the true ending... I want her to talk and be a total badass, sorta like the leader of the group XD It would be hard to use Ib and Madotsuki though, considering the don't talk during the game so they should not talk in the fanfic too.
I grew up on a farm, I was handling sickles, guns, and tractors by the time I was five. So a chainsaw? Not that weird to me.
Why can't she use it on ghosts? To make the game harder, I guess.
I think all the little boys are over in the moody indie platformer games.
No, it's because the chainsaw hasn't been infused with Reternium, so it's no good for sending them back to the Forest of Beginnings. Obviously.
Why hello there. I watched Strihiryu's LP, but coming across this gem instead..
I wonder why hasn't Aya grew insane yet.
The worst childhood experiences I had(physically) was accidentally doing the splits on a hill then tumbling down it and breaking my arm...Whelp.
I'm not even going to comment on this game. I'm not in the right mental state.
52 notifications, and I check this forum often! I love you guys XD
But let's keep going!
I know we are in the basement, but the walls here look like some kind of balcony O_o Oh well.
Aya is really breaking. Paranoia is the first sign of insanity.
holy shit! This reminds me the avatar of Sofalisa! (I don't know how to tag users in this forum XD)
This was the most akward conversation ever.
Maybe she lost her ears too.
And there's a lever in the girl's cell. I think I know what I must do.
Oh, the door on the lower left led to the Storehouse. This is were we sent Snowball to get the lighter oil, remember? So now I can open the other door from the inside and get out from the kitchen...
The dog is not there anymore... I'm not sure I should be relieved or worried °___°
Oh well, let's go back in the fireplace of the reception room.
Aya let the jar of eyeball fall into the hole, and we can hear a crashing sound.
Maybe you it her head with the jar.
You took them from the ground? That's not hygenic!!
Well, I was expecting some more gory eyes with blood all over them, she actually looks like a normal girl now.
Don't you think she's awfully similar to Viola from Witch's House, anyway?
Separate names with a comma.
